e-Opinion for KL City Plan 2020

The process of preparing the Draft Kuala Lumpur City Plan 2020 involved 4 stages. Public are consulted in all the stages through forum, public opinion surveys, focused group discussion (FGD) and technical working group (TWG) meetings. Now, with the completion of the draft plan, the public is invited to give their opinions as provided by the Federal Territory (Planning) Act 1982.

The Draft Kuala Lumpur City Plan 2020 will be available for inspection and can be purchased at Kuala Lumpur City Hall from 15 May 2008. For the convenience of all interested parties, an exhibition will be staged at the Kuala Lumpur City Hall's headquarters for six weeks until 30th June 2008. In the same period, the road shows will be held at 13 selected venues around Kuala Lumpur.

We welcome citizens of Kuala Lumpur to this exhibition and urge you to share your opinions and comments on this draft plan. Just write your thoughts in the Public Opinion Form that will be available at the exhibition. You may also download the softcopy form here. All completed forms must be received by 31st August 2008.

All opinions are important and will be considered by the Public Hearing Committee before amendments are made to the Draft Kuala Lumpur City Plan 2020. The amended plan will then be presented to the Federal Territory Minister for consideration and approval. Together, let's be part of the future of Kuala Lumpur, towards a world-class city.
